LETS courses last two weeks each
and run throughout the year.
After application for a course you will
receive further details, including a list of irregular verbs, an preliminary English test
and an exercise in free writing. The test and the free writing exercise will allow us to
determine your English level so that we can adapt the course to your requirements.
Each course starts on a Sunday
at 5 p.m. with a short meeting with one of the Directors to discuss the course in greater
detail. The rest of the day is at your disposal. Throughout the two weeks of your LETS course, the daily programme

The lessons take place in your study-bedroom in the Central Park Hotel.
The study times include short periods for individual revision and consolidation of work.
The evening activities take place on three separate evenings and there is also a theatre
visit.
During the middle weekend, students are
expected to spend one whole day preparing for and completing the weekend test.
This test is based on the week's progress and difficulties. You will have one day during
the middle weekend to explore London and to relax from the intensive LETS
course -- before the second week begins.
Teaching ends at 3 p.m. on the
second Friday when students normally do their end-of-course test.
Many of our students prefer to leave London on this Friday evening, but the hotel room may
be used until 12.00 noon on Saturday.
Public holidays are regarded as normal
working days.
IF YOU DECIDE TO COME, YOU MIGHT FIND THE FOLLOWING POINTS HELPFUL:
Before the course:
Be prepared for some hard work so try
not to arrive tired
Try to leave your job behind you
Be prepared to speak English all the
time
Be prepared for a different way of
life and a different standard of living
Learn by heart the irregular verbs we
send you
Complete the test we send you and
return it to London at least two weeks before your course begins
When doing the test and free writing,
do not consult a dictionary or your secretary; we want to know what your
level is
After the course:
Listen to your own vocabulary tapes at
regular intervals
Go on with your English as your
teacher has advised on the last day of the course
A certificate will be sent to you
stating progress made and level attained
A certificate of attendance can be
supplied at any time after the course has finished
LETS
will be pleased to help or advise any past student in dealing with specific English
problems
